Simplifying the registration process for joining My Whenua

We’ve simplified the registration process for joining My Whenua by changing how we verify your email address.

A unique link is sent by email and once you click on the link, you’ll confirm to us that your email address is active. You’ll be redirected back to My Whenua to complete your account registration.

We’ve added additional information on the benefits for you on setting up a My Whenua account and the information access you get whether you are an Owner, Trustee or whānau user.

My Whenua is a secure website for owners, trustees and whānau of Māori land that we look after.

Once you’ve signed up to My Whenua, you can select whenua that you are associated with, view news items related to your whenua, share images and stories, and get information on upcoming hui.

My Whenua was launched in 2011 with a significant upgrade in March 2019. That upgrade makes it easier for owners, trustees and whānau to stay connected to their whenua from anywhere in the world.

We continue to review the content and services provided on My Whenua based on feedback from owners and registered users. This is the first of more planned changes to improve My Whenua in 2020.
