The block's legal access is from an unformed Mahanga Road, however physical access is via the formed section of Mahanga Road and over adjoining land.
Mahanga 2Y is currently leased together with Mahanga 2X. Together the blocks total 111.6759 hectares, of which the effective area, approximately 56.4380 hectares, is currently utilised for dairy platform and support.
The balance of the land can be attributed to ponds, lagoons and sand on the properties.
