Taraketi 1G4 & 2F1A1

Taraketi 1G4 & 2F1A1 is a 2.5748 hectare property situated on the eastern side of State Highway 1, Rata, and is approximately 12 kilometres north-east of Marton. The land is flat in contour. The block is currently accessed via adjoining land off Te Hou Hou Road.
Taraketi 1G4 is currently leased together with Taraketi 1G1, 1G2, 1G3, 1G5 and 1G6. The properties form a 9.3786 hectare block, of which, approximately 9.0 hectares are utilised for cash cropping and sheep and cattle finishing. The balance of the land can be attributed to the riverbank.
Taraketi 2F 1A1 was partitioned in 1959 to be combined with Taraketi 1G4. When the Maori Trustee was appointed Responsible Trustee in 1986 for the subject property there was no mention in the documentation that Taraketi 2F 1A1 had been combined with Taraketi 1G4. Therefore Taraketi 2F 1A1 is not included in the current lease. The Maori Land Court have now provided us with copies of the relevant orders and we are working on investigating the status of the land.
