Tawhiti 1E1B2 is a 21.24 hectare property located on Waiapu Road, some 4km south of Te Puia Springs. The block is remote and has no legal access from Waiapu Road.
The land is located between 160 - 440 metres above sea level and of medium to steep contour with a predominately north western aspect and is irregular in shape.
Tawhiti 1E1B2 is hill country pastoral grazing of mixed stock and is currently leased by an adjoining land owner for such purposes.
Approximately 51% of the property is reverted manuka and kanuka.
The property is covered in part by Land Overlay 2 as identified by the Gisborne District Council and described as being "hill country land which is moderately limited in terms of its capability for sustainable use". A section of the block is covered by Land Overlay 3 and 3A as identified by the Gisborne District Council. Land Overlay 3 & 3A is land identified by the Gisborne District Council as being susceptible to erosion, sediment generation and soil loss. Land within these overlays have physical limitations and hazards.
