We are seeking a Kaitohutohu Pūmanawa Tangata | Human Resources Advisor for Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington).

He angitūtanga | About the Role:

We are looking for a HR Generalist superstar, who has a strong background in running recruitment processes. This person will support hiring managers in finding the best kaimahi for their teams. 

Some of the responsibilities of this role will include: 

    • Managing recruitment across all levels and business units of the organisation.  
    • Providing generalist HR advice and guidance
    • Provide timely reporting on recruitment progress 
    • Continuous improvement activities for recruitment processes, documentation and advertising 
    • Relationship management across different business unit managers, SLT, the wider organisation and external recruitment agencies 
    • Provide updates on employment trends and changes within the New Zealand employment market 
    • Supporting HR projects

He kōrero mōu: What we are looking for:

  • Several years of proven HR generalist experience
  • Proven experience in managing end to end internal recruitment processes, including managing agency relationships and contracts, advertising, shortlisting, interviewing and onboarding. 
  • A good understanding of employment legislation and practices.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems 
  • A strong team player, who can collaborate and assist to help the team partner and support the organisation 
  • Strengths in building and fostering excellent relationships with internal managers, the senior leadership team and external partners
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office 
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand is essential.

Ngā Pae Mōhiotanga Reo Māori

  • Pae Tahi- Te Whakahua | A desire and ability to practise correct pronunciation of Te Reo Māori (essential).

Ngā Pae Mōhiotanga Tikanga Māori 

  • Pae Tahi- Nō Ia Rā | An understanding and living of Tikanga Māori on a day-to-day level, for example, the removing of shoes before entering a whare, washing hands at the urupa and not sitting on tables (essential)
