Ruatoki A35B
Ruatoki A35B is an irregular shaped block, with land both sides of the road. The land on the western side of the road comprises a river terrace that lies below road level.
The land is effectively split into two utilisations, land retained by owners, and leased land.

The area of the land retained by owners includes a house and land fronting the road which is utilised for horse grazing. Part of this area has been planted out with wetland vegetation as an Environment Bay of Plenty initiative and a further portion is low lying wetland. There are two creek systems that adjoin the farmed areas and there is river berm at the western end of the block that extends to the Whakatane River. Both creeks are fenced to both sides with 1-3 wire electric fences.
In April 2017 the wider area was significantly affected by Cyclone Debbie and this block was impacted. The tenant was provided with rent relief in return for remedying damage caused by the flooding. The instalment of rent due on 01.04.17 of $3850.00 was refunded.
