Kaihautū Mātaitanga | Test Manager

We are seeking a Kaihautū Mātaitanga | Test Manager based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington). 

  • 18 Months Fixed Term Contract, based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington)

Ko Te Tumu Paeroa tēnei, te kaitiaki, kaitaunaki, kaiwhakawhanake i te mana o ngā whenua Māori, huri noa. So that the foundations of ancestral lands may be solid, benefitting Māori from our past, present and future alike. This is Te Tumu Paeroa, guardian, support and advancer of the mana of Māori land everywhere.

Our role is to provide professional trustee services for Māori. We do this by carrying out the terms of trusts and ensuring the whenua is protected and enhanced for future generations.

He angitūtanga: About the Role:
As the Kaihautū Mātaitanga | Test Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving excellence in software testing, ensuring our projects meet the highest standards. You will apply your experience to develop and implement test plans, strategies, and schedules to ensure comprehensive testing coverage, including coverage of business requirements. You will use your excellent stakeholder management skills to facilitate the completion of testing across the organisation and our vendor partners.

You'll be part of the PMO team leading test activities for a diverse programme of work across business projects, IT projects, and the Cloud Programme, working across multiple projects all designed to improve Te Tumu Paeroa’s ability to enable development and outcomes for whenua Māori. In our diverse and accepting environment, you'll have the opportunity to lead and get hands-on with some interesting and complex pieces of work.

He kōrero mōu: What we are looking for:

  • Proven Test Management experience covering a wide range of successful projects. 
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including building and fostering strong internal and external relationships.
  • Proven ability to lead the testing team, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing guidance and support.
  • A good understanding of sound Waterfall and Agile principles and practices.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, JIRA, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Dynamics Business Central, SharePoint and/or M365.
  • Experience with Zephyr, Azure, Devops would be advantageous.

Ngā Pae Mōhiotanga Reo Māori

  • Pae Toru - Te Mau me Te Whakahoki | An understanding of Te Reo Māori and the ability to answer and converse in the language. A desire and ability to practise correct pronunciation of Te Reo Māori (desired).

Ngā Pae Mōhiotanga Tikanga Māori

  • Pae Toru - Te Ao Wairua | An understanding and living of Tikanga Māori on an Ao Wairua level. Knowing and practising things such as karanga, whaikōrero, whakapapa, karakia tahito and mōteatea (desired).
